6.2m Diameter Mongolian Yurt - Essex

Description

Bought new from JustYurts in 2020, this traditional Yurt has 4 covering layers – an outer cover, a waterproof liner, an insulating layer of 1” thick Mongolian sheep’s wool and finally an inner cover.

It features two large double-glazed windows either side of double-glazed double opening doors.

The trellis height is 1.6 metres and roof height is 2.6 metres, supported by 70 hand-painted poles.

The glazed crown and support pillars are also beautifully painted.

Four spare poles are included, as is a spare outer cover (we bought a second outer cover to be able to swap and clean them when needed).

As JustYurts are still selling these Yurts, new covers are also available.

The Yurt has a click-together laminate floor with insulating foam underlay, over a plywood base supported by a trellis of 6” x 2” pressure-treated timbers resting on bricks, stones and paving slabs to level (see photos).

Price also includes the two IKEA sofa beds.

This Yurt is very solid and has had no water leaks – we use it a lot in winter as a cosy space for entertaining.

The 2020 wood burner and flue are available for an additional £1,000.

With the wood burner lit the insulation means that in a short while you are very warm indeed and we often end up opening the doors to cool down !

Delivery notes

Currently located near Earls Colne in Essex.
The Yurt itself was erected in one day, but realistically it would take a further day to disassemble the base and supporting wooden structure.
You would clearly need a large van for transportation.
