9m Alachigh - North Wales

Description

This is the the Alachigh (pronounced ala-cheeg) which is like a yurt but without the trellis, with rafters having a continuous, elegant curve to the wheel.

It is based on a traditional nomadic tent of the Shahsevan Tribe of Northern Iran and we've kept the shape but enlarged it.

The frame is made of ash and has metal connectors at the rafter base, and a second ring of connectors to the next layer of rafters with a metal wheel. I

Its cover is made from the best quality 12oz canvas in a light sand colour with 4 eye-shaped windows around the perimeter. It will have a wooden, leaved door (not made yet).

There are only several of these tents in the country, we have just finished it and it's available for anyone looking for large, original event space, a retreat space as a glamping tent for a luxurious glamping experience.

We can put it up with you the first time it is erected.
